Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 5β11 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (646) 370-3858. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, emmettsongrove.com.
Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 427 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pizza restaurants in New York.
New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in New York peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

5 Stars Exceptional I'm a Chicago purist (Born and raised) Tavern style over NYC style, I'll die on this hill and I'll die happy. So when I say Emmett's on Grove is the only pizza I willingly eat in New York City, understand that's not a compliment. It's a surrender. This place gets it right. Crispy, cracker-thin crust, cut into party squares like God and the South Side of Chicago intended. It doesn't apologize for what it is, and it doesn't need to. I fly into NYC for work constantly, and this is now a non-negotiable stop every single time, even though getting a table during peak hours is basically a hostage negotiation. Do yourself a favor and set up a Resy in advance, or you will be standing on the sidewalk contemplating your life choices. Food: outstanding. Atmosphere: warm, lively, exactly what a Midwest supper club transplant should feel like. The espresso martini, simple, no frills, dark as my soul, exactly how I take my coffee and my regrets. If you're a die-hard NYC-slice loyalist, fine, stay mad. The rest of us will be at the bar, three squares deep, living our best lives.

I dont know if this was just a bad experience for me but the pizza (i got half hot gal and half mona lisa) crust was so hard and stale it felt like biting into a thick tortilla chip thats been left out for a good 2 days. The toppings were fine but genuinely worst crust. I got the spicy vodka pasta and it was also just way too undercooked. I felt the hard inside of the pasta and it was hard to chew. I really wanted to enjoy this experience but the food really brought it down. Service and experience was fine tho.

Great place for after work drinks and food. It was really hard finding a reservation but we found a spot at the bar, try the cheese curds they are addictive. The jalapeΓ±os on the pizza can be hit or miss with some very spicy if you have a hard time heat. I liked the hot girl better than the hot papi due to the flavor of the honey.

Amazing vibes and a total sleeper hit of a burger! I know, I knowβitβs a pizza restaurantβbut the burger here is absolutely incredible. We did a walk-in and were lucky enough to snag two seats at the bar. The bartender was super helpful and steered us toward the Dry-Aged Cheeseburger, which turned out to be a fantastic call. The flavor was deep and rich, and ordering it medium-rare is definitely the move for the perfect temperature. Even the fries were a standoutβperfectly crispy and salted. Overall, this is such a great spot with an infectious energy. I highly recommend stopping by, even if you aren't in the mood for a slice!

As a pizza snob this place is definitely in my top 3. The thin crust is extremely unique with a crack like crust lightly sprinkled with sesame seeds. The hot honey girl (don't quote me) is my favorite. The deep fried olives and homemade potato are delicious. The rustic vibe compliments the food for a good chill spot. Highly recommend. (Make a reservation).
